After nearly 10 years, I finally had the pleasure of meeting one of my husband’s ex-coworkers for the first time for our shoot in Chicago’s River North area. Aside from having an amazingly gorgeous family, my two little sidekicks were also fabulous as helping me scout locations and “textures” throughout the sessions! I think I can say now that this is currently my favorite session – it was the perfect storm for Donnell Probst Photography – style, textures, and personality! Huge thank you to the Tajanko family for making my job so easy!

When it comes to funny, the Leitza’s have the market cornered! Seriously funny people here. And it doesn’t hurt that they are clearly easy on the eyes! I called mom on her land line to let her know the gallery was up, so I hope they enjoy the images as much as I do! Cute cute!!!

I headed up to Chicago a few weekends ago to meet with a super fun bride and groom and catch a few sessions! This first session is a long time friend of my sister’s – and happens to have some super cute kids! They were SO well behaved, even though mom was busy with their new sister! These kids could not be any more gorgeous… of course, it’s easy to see where they get their good looks from! Thanks Wolf family for a great time!

I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with Mrs. Amanda Zika of Dreaming Tree Photography last weekend! While it was pretty darn warm outside, we had a total blast, and got some great shots! Second shooting is SO much fun because you are able to hang back, look for the little, intimate details of the day without the pressure and responsibility of capturing the overall story of the day! Congratulations to Aaron and Jill on their new life together!!!

So, I have to apologize for my noticeable absence lately! It has been a jolting start to the spring photo season and I’m still trying to catch my breath! Project Hope is in full swing – the models have been selected and sessions are scheduled. We will begin shooting next weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for some sneak peeks coming your way! =) It is also IEP season for my “day” job (which is really my morning, noon, and night job this time of year!) at MPACT, Missouri’s Parent and Training Information Center. Parents throughout Easter Missouri are knocking down my door trying to prepare for their child’s IEP (that is special ed lingo, for those of you who are not in ‘the know’!) – so duty calls which means my desk runnith over!

Luckily, I was able to take a short breather and make a quick weekend trip to Springfield, Illinois to hang with some of our nearest and dearest, the Bockewitz. This always involves extremely late nights and now that we have children (and/or dogs) very early mornings! We made it through the weekend and even managed to squeeze in a few ‘family’ photos! While Donovan will live in my heart forever, Wally was a wonderful replacement and we were so happy to meet their newest addition Tom! Congrats on the ever expanding family!!!

One of the best parts of my job is meeting so many awesome families and being a part of the process of having their family photos done. Â I get to see a bit of everything in most of my sessions – the love, the silliness, the kids growing tired of me and my camera… it’s all part of the process of any session and one the favorite parts of my job! Â This family was no exception! Â Plus, with a British dad and a Canadian mom, I decided right there this was the kind of family I would love to sit and have dinner with! Â

This was a very fun shoot filled with bug shells and a mix of Cubs and Cardinals fans… And these are just two of the cutest brothers ever, if I don’t say so myself!!
