So here’s the deal… I am giving away a FREE session!  Winner picks the type of session (i.e. family, high school senior, kids, studio, portrait, etc.).  Anyone who lives in St. Louis or Chicago (or anywhere in between) can enter!  Here are the details:

How to Enter/Win

1. Email your name, contact information (phone/email), where you live, and a picture, to donnellprobstphoto@gmail.com.
2. The finalists pictures will be posted in an album on our Facebook page for voting.
3. Once the finalists are posted, you can badger your friends and family into voting for you by “liking” your image on our Facebook page!  (they will have to “like” our page before they can “like” your image)
4. The finalist with the most votes wins!!

Prize

Winner: The finalist with the most votes will win a full 1-2 hour session with Donnell Probst Photography (retail: $150), 20-30 fully edited images from your session posted in an online gallery for review, and then the choice of either an 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas print (retail: $300) print OR an 8×8 coffee table book (retail: $300).   Total package value: $450.

Finalists: All finalists in the competition will receive a $50 credit from Donnell Probst Photography for their participation!

Rules

1. Entry deadline is next Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:59pm cst.
2. DPP will pick the finalists that will be posted in a Facebook album by Friday, April 1, 2011 for voting.  Selection of the finalists is at the sole discretion of Donnell Probst Photography.
3. Voting will end on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at midnight.
4. The finalist will be announced Friday, April 8th, 2011.
5. Session will be held between April 15, 2011 and May 15th, 2011.
6. Family sessions are limited to immediate family only.
7. Individual/Senior sessions are limited to two outfit changes.
8. Group/business sessions will be limited to 5-6 individuals, unless you are looking for group shots.
9. Winner must be willing to sign a portrait agreement and model release for all participants.
10. Donnell Probst Photography reserves the right to remove any contestant/finalist from the competition at any time, for any reason.

Meghan and Jenn to the rescue!!  These two budding photogs may pop up at sessions, weddings, meetings, etc.  Be prepared for anything!  They are now part of the DPP family and we will be showing them the ropes over the coming year.  Not to fear, I know many of you have voiced concern if you will get me or them behind the camera… and the answer will always be me!  If you hire me, you get me.  Eventually I may be able to refer business to these awesome ladies, or find a way to work them into the business photographically, but for now we are showering them with photo knowledge and excited to watch them grow!

Of course we aren’t expecting something for nothing, so all of our fabulous Senior Reps will receive a free mini-session during the spring of their Junior year (yes, THIS spring) in addition to great discounts and the opportunity to earn free prints and products!! We are looking for Seniors with personality and style! Applications are now being accepted through February 15th. Selected Reps will be notified by March 1st, 2011.

SENIOR REP APPLICATION

So, the good news is that we are making progress.  The bad news is that we’re not quite where we want to be yet.  We’ve got the lights and the “stuff” to go with it, but now we need some live people.  We are looking for brand new babies (0-10 DAYS old) and babies who can support themselves sitting up, but who are not mobile yet.  Yes, this may seem very specific, but we just need to test things out, and that will be difficult enough to do without chasing small people around!  Don’t get us wrong, we love, love, love your humans of all ages, but we just need some solid practice.  If you haven’t been following our escapades over at The Photo Junkies, it’s a must read.  Hopefully you will laugh a little and enjoy our random goodness.  So, without further ado, here it a bit of the progress we’ve made in the studio department.

For all interested, we are already starting to book up for the spring and will be adding studio to the mix probably sometime in March – so don’t wait too much longer to book your session!
