This was such an incredibly fun session with an amazing family!  They were so open and willing to do almost anything and the pictures definitely reflect their spontaneity!  Mom and Dad are also super entrepreneurial and have a couple of businesses including a web development and design business (www.showmewebcenters.com) and mom is a business and life coach (www.beckyschoenig.com) and she is producing a movie ( www.breakthroughthemovie.com).  They were so incredibly friendly and easy to work with, I would highly recommend anyone checking out their services- I am sure you will find them easy to work with as well!

November 29, 2009{Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby!}
November 27, 2009Introducing baby “O”… just eight days old! Â His mom has been friends with my sister since their days at Western Illinois University and now lives pretty close to me here in the St. Louis area. Â I love newborn sessions because as I was telling his mom today, I can get my baby fix… and then hand them back to mom and dad after a solid three hours of cuddling and snuggling and head home to my own sleeping-through-the-night children! Â He is so adorable, stay tuned for more pics!

{Just One Year}
November 21, 2009Well, anyone who follows my blog knows how much I adore shooting little girls! Â Little *G* is no exception… what a complete doll! Â And for being only one year old, she did such a great job workin’ the camera! Â Â
{Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!}
November 20, 2009I am very, very, very (very x 4) excited because Donnell Probst Photography is busting at the seems with new changes! Â I started out earlier this summer doing some PBing as we call it in the industry… portfolio building… in hopes of building up enough samples of my work that I could confidently offer my services professionally. Â Well, it’s safe to say that it worked… to put it mildly. Â I was caught a bit off guard when business pop, snapped, boomed, exploded and I became so busy, so quickly, that I didn’t have much time to think about my online presence, marketing, branding, etc. Â Things that are extremely important to the longevity and success of any business.
Amidst the ridiculous shooting and editing schedule I have been maintaining steadily for the past several months, I have also been working with my dear, patient, holding-down-the-fort-while-I-try-to-manage-business husband to better structure my business and the offerings for my clients. Â My goal is to be a full-service, one-stop shop where my clients can get advice on everything from how to dress for their shoot and session location options to print selection, album creation, and gallery arrangements for their newly acquired products… all while providing beautiful flash gallery portfolios and past client testimonials for potential clients to check out and online flash galleries to share and online ordering for existing clients. Â Sooooo, while we have a looooong way to go from our tiny little blog here at donnellprobst.com, we are working feverishly behind the scenes to make these changes! Â Stay tuned for a shiny new flash portfolio site, online proofing and ordering site, and much, much more!
We will continue to post our favorite pics from each session, sneek peaks, and other announcements and sharings here on the blog, but the current proofing/ordering/scrolling… and scrolling… and even more scrolling system will be a thing of the past in the very near future!
{Ready, Set, RUN!}
November 12, 2009I can say with absolute certainty that the 12-24 month set is by far the most difficult to photograph given their extremely limited vocabulary, lack of boundaries, and just overall curiosity (have I mentioned I have an 18 month old!
. Â I can also say with even more certainty that the pictures I get from this age group are most always some of my very favorites! Â I take a LOT of pictures at these sessions to accommodate for the inevitable looking away, funny face, running away pictures I get, but the ones that do turn out end up being a virtual window to their soul. Â This family was no exception! Â Love the clothes and we got some great shots of the kids!

{Double the Fun}
November 8, 2009Well, it should only take you a moment to figure out what the big surprise with this session is! Â This session was filled with a trip to a waterfall… that ended very quickly after we discovered some super-slippery rocks, a brief slide down a muddy hillside, and a lot of me trying to guess who was who! Â I had to end this session with the caveat that if I didn’t send back equal pictures of both girls, mom would have to let me know because I could barely tell them apart in person, let alone on camera! Â

{Around the World}
November 8, 2009One of the best parts of my job is meeting so many awesome families and being a part of the process of having their family photos done. Â I get to see a bit of everything in most of my sessions – the love, the silliness, the kids growing tired of me and my camera… it’s all part of the process of any session and one the favorite parts of my job! Â This family was no exception! Â Plus, with a British dad and a Canadian mom, I decided right there this was the kind of family I would love to sit and have dinner with! Â

{Sneak Peek – 2009 Holiday Card Collection!}
